Atlantas Six Flags White Water is the best place in town to stay cool this summer. The whole family will enjoy the parks 50 wet and wild attractions. Six Flags White Water park opens for the 2012 season on May 19. Following Memorial Weekend the park is open daily through August 12, and then weekends through Labor Day.

There are water activities to please all ages. The youngest visitors will enjoy the White Water Activity Pool. At Captain Kids Cove there are more than 100 interactive water play activities for kids 12 and under. Tree House Island has 4-stories of fun with bridges, slides, and a 5,000 gallon water bucket. Everyone can grab a tube and take a lazy float down the Little Hooch River. Hang onto the overhead ropes to make your way across the pool at the Lilypad Crossing. The Atlanta Ocean Wave Pool, with its 4-foot high waves, is great fun for all ages. The park is packed with waterslides with a moderate or max thrill rating. Rafts take six people down a chute the length of two football fields at the Bahama Bob Slide. Black River Fall is a fast paced plunge through the dark. Run-A-Way River is a wild ride with dips, banked curves, and tunnels. Those who want a more intense thrill can try the Bermuda Triangle, Bonzai, and the Gulf Coast Screamer. The 100-Meter Splash is a high speed, six lane toboggan-style racing slide. For the ultimate water thrill ride, plunge nine stories in a high speed free fall at the Cliffhanger. Six Flags White Water has a variety of food service options for snacks, beverages, and family meals. Outside food is not allowed. Cabana rentals offer a shady retreat with private tables, chairs, and inner tubes. Lockers may also be rented for the day. Tickets purchased at the park are $37.99 for adults and $26.99 for children under 48 inches. Children ages 2 and under are admitted free. Guests can save $6 when purchasing their tickets online, and save $10 with a 3-day online advance ticket purchase. The 1-day parking fee is $12. Six Flags White Water is located at 250 Cobb Parkway N. in Marietta, Georgia. Take I-75 north to Exit 265. The park is open daily from 10:30am-7pm until August 1. After that date the park will close at 6pm. Proper swimwear is required, and babies must wear swim diapers. Approved life jackets are provided free of charge, and life guards are always on duty.
